Advent Business Sales is pleased to have been instructed to offer to the market this well established retail blind shop which has been trading successfully for the past
4 years.
The current vendor has been in ownership since its inception and is reluctantly selling due to ill health.
The business originally started as a franchise by a company on the south coast working with one major blind manufacturer.
The shop has been laid out and equipped to a very high standard with an exceptional well organised ordering and invoicing system. Although the franchise has now ceased, the systems are still in place operating highly successfully.
The business supplies a total blind service offering roller blinds, roman blinds, slatted blinds both vertical and horizontal (both in plastic and wood), pleated and bamboo slats as well as pulls/poles and fringes.
Supplying blinds for conservatories as well as windows. Fitting is also part of the service. Because of the exceptionally fast turn around from the factory, no stocks are required, a major boost for cash flow. There is however, a van with the business and the company is a member of the Federation of Small Business (FSB).
The customers are generally local from a radius of 5 miles from the shop, although some from 20 miles away. Many customers are returning and provide a large number of recommendations. There is a database of over 500.
The shop / showroom is extremely well laid out and purposeful with an attractive seating area for discussion and choosing of materials and patterns as well as blind styles
The present owner will give a buyer help and training, not only with the systems in place but also tips and advice on blind hanging and suitability.
It is suggested that this business is best suited to a husband and wife team, with the wife looking after the shop on a part time basis while the husband attends to blind hanging and measuring during part of the day.
