THE BUSINESS:
Advent Business Sales are pleased to offer to the market this extremely well established public house and B & B which has been trading in its present building for over 100 years and had been in existence next door for many years prior to that.
The current owner has been resident for over 16 years and is reluctantly selling due o personal reasons and a desire to retire.
The pub is mainly a wet sales with traditional lunches being served on Sunday’s.
It has a large well equipped bar, extending across most of the building and serving both the 2 lounge bars, which are open to each other and a large games room, which contains both pool table and darts and gaming machines.
The very success pool team, which has won the local league for the last few years, meet on a Tuesday evening. Wednesday evening is darts team night and also dominoes. Out of season there is organised 3/5 knock out competition for dominoes as well.
Karaoke night is Thursday with live music on Saturday’s, which turns into a ‘sing along’ which is extremely popular and usually fills the pub completely.
The pub owns the pool table and the juke box.
Breakfast is offered to the B & B residents but due to the owner being on his own, other food offers are not available.
The pub is well known for its real ale and during winter months 2 open hearth ‘real fires’ welcome the customers.
The pub is staffed by the owner, 1 part time bar person and 1 part time cleaner. There are extra part time on, on Saturday evenings as required.
