THE BUSINESS
Our clients have owned the business for 11 years and have developed a very healthy wet trade of £262,000 on a split of 93% Wet to 7% Dry. We have accounting information for the year ending March 2010. Due to the ease of running the business its potential profitability is very high. Its all there to be taken by a new focused energetic owner who could introduce a market for food sales drawing on both local and day tripper trade.

Situated on Newall Carr Road less than a mile outside the town centre of OTLEY close to BLUBBERHOUSE MOOR and RESERVOIR. The business is surrounded by residential dwellings and there is currently new housing projects underway. Otley is a bustling market town that boasts three street markets a week and a popular farmers market once a month. The river Wharfe runs through the heart of the town and Chevin Forest Park has spectacular views over the town and surrounding countryside. The town has many historic connections and Thomas Chippendale, the furniture maker, was born here in 1718 and his statue stands proud in the town. J M W Turner visited Otley in 1797 at the age of 22 when commissioned to paint watercolours of the area. The town is regularly used as a location for several television programmes including Emmerdale.
