Established in 2004, the company sources original archive documentary, news and factual broadcast & film footage, with secure UK rights for distribution and broadcast of the often unseen and original material. In addition to the UK rights the company has a signed deal with a long established company to allow access to the expansive worldwide distribution markets.
The archive film footage is sourced from ITN Source under a current agreement, which allows access to a portfolio of motion picture material in excess of 100 titles that feature historical film and stock footage from the 1890s.
The team produces nostalgic documentaries that are both entertaining and informative from footage in a DVD format and then distributes the archive film material to major retailers and Internet retailers such as Amazon, Waterstone’s, HMV and independent outlets.
With major retail outlets alone generating circa £250,000 in revenue, this opportunity should be very attractive to any company or individual involved in the distribution or licensing of broadcast entertainment.

The opportunities for the expansion and growth of this Business are far reaching. Currently the documentaries are produced in popular DVD format. However, broadening the media used would enable the company to diversify its product offering and therefore also expand the existing customer base.
A market research study carried out on behalf of a regional British film archive in 2007 showed that 74% of respondents wished to access archive film on DVD or the internet. This figure will inevitably grow as an ageing population becomes more internet “savvy”. With the 50+ age group increasing in importance to advertisers, this is a growing market, which could lead to exciting opportunities to build on the current customer base.
