  Business Summary
The boats spend the summer season cruising the canal and river network of the UK providing holiday cruises for guests on board. This business has been built up by the current owners over a 6 year period and includes 2 purpose built 70ft narrowboats, a motor (2010) and a butty (2008). The business has a strong core customer base of repeat bookings and regular guests with consistently high occupancy levels of around 80%.

Both boats were specially designed and built by the current owners.

The boats were designed to offer full ensuite facilities for each guest cabin, spacious communal areas on BOTH boats and wider than average bunks in the cabins. They also boast wonderful large windows in the communal areas which enable guests to see the waterline from inside the boat, and to enjoy the scenery even in poor weather.

The company currently offers guests a schedule which can take them as far north as the Rochdale & Huddersfield Canals and as far south as The River Wey and Kennet & Avon. It offers a wide range of cruising options which include, rivers, wide and narrow canals, northern and southern cruises, one way and ring routes. Obviously any new owners could design a different itinerary encompassing the routes of thier preference.

The consent of the current mailing list will be sought for a handover, in accordance with data protection. The current owners are amenable to full and ongoing support should any buyers require this.

Reasonably Priced Winter Moorings are available with the consent of the boatyard.

The Sale includes all inventory of the boats including, catering equipment in the galley, crockery and tableware, bedding, bed linen, towels, boating equipment, safety equipment, cleaning materials.

The boats and business come with up to date Boat Safety Certificates, Landlords Gas Safety Certification, Food Hygiene 5 star award, Premises Licence, Annual Fire Safety Equipment checks and British Waterways Commercial Licence.

Viewings are by arrangement only.
  Property Information
  Property: Freehold
  Current Rent: none
  Living Accommodation: Yes
Details of Accommodation: Accommodation on the boats during the season comprises the back cabin on each boat and use of the communal facilities on board. Accommodation in the off season comprises the whole boats as they are unoccupied by guests.
Location: The boats are currently tied in Warwick during the off season for a reasonable mooring fee. They could, however be tied anywhere the owner choose along the canal and river network.
There are only 4 hotelboat pairs still in operation so competition is minimal given the size of the market. There are some single baots in operation who can only accommodate 3 or possibly 4 guests.
  Growth Potential

The business does not currently advertise so there is potential to improve bookings through targeted marketing.
  Support and Training Offered
The current owners are willing to offer full support to new owners. They would provide full training on how to handle a pair of boats and everything involved in the day to day running of the business, as much as would be welcomed.

Some official qualifications would be needed by the new skipper from a respecatble RYA certified training school, but there are various options for courses which can be taken.
